Nick Drevos

Nick grew up sailing on the Boston Harbor. He started as a camper at Piers Park Sailing Center in the summer of 2013. Nick started teaching for the Boston Sailing Center in the fall of 2025. He loves teaching sailing on Boston Harbor and will always say yes to a sailing adventure! Nick studied adventure education in Helsinki, Finland and has a love for the outdoors. When he’s not teaching, you can find him on the docks during the summer or rock climbing at a local gym.

Philip Zurek

Philip brings sailing experience from an unexpected location: Colorado! He arrived in Boston on the first nice spring day of 2018, went straight to the sailing center, and has been enjoying all that the area has to offer since then. When not cruising around, you can find him teaching (since 2021), Soling racing in the summer, and Frostbite racing in the winter. His goal is to share his knowledge and passion for sailing with every student.

Pete Whinn does startup business stuff for a 9-5 grind but spends evenings and weekends (and the occasional beautiful weekday afternoon, don’t tell his boss) teaching Learn to Sail at the Boston Sailing Center.
