Michael Quigley

Michael is from a sailing family and says sailing is “in his blood”.  He grew up racing with his family in the Etchells class in Marblehead. He remembers single-handing that 30 foot sloop by the time he was 13 years old. Michael soon moved on to racing bigger boats throughout New England. He was the genoa and spinnaker trimmer on a championship racer/cruiser for many years.

Michael started teaching at the Boston Sailing Center in the early nineties and has been with us, on and off, ever since. This US Army veteran makes his home in the northern suburbs and keeps busy raising his three young-adult sons.
