Sailing has been a part of Elle’s life since before she was born. Coming from a family of world championship-winning sailors, she grew up on the water and has sailed in locations around the world. She has been coaching and teaching sailing for over 10 years and was formerly the Head of the Manhattan Sailing School. Her favorite place to sail is Barnegat Bay, NJ, where she sails Sneakboxes, a traditional wooden boat and the oldest continually raced boat in the world. Her own Sneakbox is over 100 years old, so she’s no stranger to a little history on the water. Elle loves sharing her lifelong passion for sailing, whether she’s teaching someone their first lesson, helping a sailor build confidence, or getting into the finer points of the sport. When she’s not on the water, she works in alumni relations in higher education, where she spends her days bringing people together in a slightly different way.
