Andie Carse

Instructor

Andie grew up on the coast of Connecticut. She began sailing on Long Island Sound with her family at the age of 3. While in high school Andie began working as an instructor at a small local summer camp. Since then, Andie has coached both young children and adults in variety of boats from Optis to larger keel boats. While studying at Loyola Chicago University Andie worked as a coach at Chicago Yacht Club and spent a summer in California as an instructor at Long Beach Yacht Club. When she is not sailing Andie enjoys yoga, reading and traveling.

Billy Crotty

Billy joined BSC at the start of the 2024 season and is looking forward to helping sailors, new and experienced, progress along their learning voyage! Billy started sailing over 30 years

Philip Zurek

Philip brings sailing experience from an unexpected location: Colorado! He arrived in Boston on the first nice spring day of 2018, went straight to the sailing center, and has been enjoying all that the area has to offer since then. When not cruising around, you can find him teaching (since 2021), Soling racing in the summer, and Frostbite racing in the winter. His goal is to share his knowledge and passion for sailing with every student.

Bob Garber

Originally from Boston, Bob has been sailing for over 30 years and understands the configuration of the Boston Harbor as well as anyone.

Francois Asselin

Francois has been with the Sailing Center since 1996. In addition to instructing, he handles all the Center’s sail repair.
