Learn the skills required for making longer passages in coastal waters.
This 5-day sail aboard the Jeanneau 389 (typically to Nantucket) teaches advanced navigation and seamanship in the challenging waters of Buzzards Bay and the Atlantic.
Course includes GPS, diesel engine trouble-shooting, day and night watches, nighttime landfalls and heavy weather skills. Throughout, we encourage high levels of responsibility and decision-making. Graduates will be prepared for a Cruising 40 membership, chartering worldwide or sailing their own yacht in most conditions.
