$2050 Learn the skills required for making longer passages in coastal waters.
This 5-day sail aboard the Jeanneau 389 (typically to Nantucket and returning outside Cape Cod) teaches advanced navigation and seamanship in the challenging waters of Buzzards Bay and the Atlantic.
Course includes GPS, diesel engine trouble-shooting, day and night watches, nighttime landfalls and heavy weather skills. Throughout, we encourage high levels of responsibility and decision-making. Graduates will be prepared for a Cruising 40 membership, chartering worldwide or sailing their own large yacht in most conditions. Please see a recommended gear list here.
