Our Coastal Navigation course presents all the fundamental skills of navigation, with emphasis on the techniques most useful to the cruising sailor.
The course meets from 6:00-8:00pm for six consecutive Tuesdays based on start date. Course fee includes the necessary charts, tools, and textbook. Topics include the magnetic compass, use of the nautical chart, dead reckoning, various methods of fixing position, tides and tide tables, navigating in current, and selection of anchorages.

*ASA 105 certification awarded upon successful written ASA 105 test, and a $39 ASA student registration fee (fee only applies if not previously certified with ASA).
