Formats
The Advanced Course is offered for adult students in 3 different formats: 4 Week, Vacation Week, and Weekend. All formats consist of four two-hour online classroom sessions and four three-and-a-half-hour water sessions for a total of 22 hours of instruction – 8 hours of classroom time and 14 hours on the water.
Held over two consecutive weeks with Online Classroom Sessions on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, and Sailing Sessions on Saturdays and Sundays.
The course starts with Online Classroom Sessions on Wednesday and Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00pm. Sailing Sessions will be on Saturday and Sunday. Morning 9:00AM-12:30PM or Afternoon 1:30-5:00PM Sailing Sessions are chosen upon checkout and noted in confirmation email. The schedule then repeats the following week.
Weekends are always consecutive unless there is a holiday (as noted in the start date at checkout) Holiday skips:
- August 26, 2026 start date: Skips over the week of September 1st due to Labor day. (Course dates are August 26, 27, 29, 30 and September 9, 10, 12, 13)
Course meets for one week, Monday morning through Thursday afternoon. Format contains in-person classroom sessions.
Offered Monday through Thursday. In person classroom sessions are Monday through Thursday from 9:30-11:30am, followed by afternoon sailing sessions from 12:30-4pm.
This format meets twice a week for four weeks, alternating evening Online Classroom Sessions and late afternoon Sailing Sessions.
Online Classroom Sessions meet Monday evenings from 6:00-8:00pm. Sailing Sessions are on Tuesdays from 4:30-8:00pm. Tuesday Sailing Sessions are chosen upon checkout and noted in confirmation email.
Due to earlier sunsets, Sailing Sessions for the September 14, 2026 start date are from 3:00-6:30.

Group Enrollment
Signing up with more than one person? We have a discount for that! Groups of two or more who sign up together for the same course qualify for discounts of 10% off the course fee after one student has purchased the course at full price (in other words, it’s full price for the first person and 10% off for each additional person).
