Coastal Navigation - $365.00

Our Coastal Navigation course presents all the fundamental skills of navigation, with emphasis on the techniques most useful to the cruising sailor.

The course meets at the BSC from 6-8pm for 6 consecutive Tuesdays. Course fee includes the necessary charts, tools and textbook.

Topics will include: the magnetic compass, use of the nautical chart, dead reckoning, various methods of fixing position, tides and tide tables, navigating in current, selection of anchorages, and rules of the road.
